Fast internet for your building. We handle the rest.

Why buildings choose us

Less admin for you. Better internet for them.

Most of what managers dread about internet providers, the contractors, the complaints and the surprises, is exactly what we take on.

Usually no cost to the body corporate

Where we can use existing risers, conduits and trunking, the body corporate doesn't pay for the installation. Optional extras such as intercom are offered at cost.

Opt-in for residents

Not every unit has to sign up. In most cases one signed-up unit is enough for us to bring the service into the building. Residents join when they're ready.

We support your residents

Residents contact our support team directly, seven days a week. Problems don't land on your desk.

Our own network

We run our own lines, not third-party infrastructure, so we don't pass line rental fees on to residents.

Fibre or wireless, same service

A wireless link can be live in about an hour. Direct fibre takes longer because of trenching. The in-building setup stays the same, so you can move to fibre later.

How it works

Five steps. About two weeks.

You stay in control at every stage. Nothing is installed until trustees have approved the plan.

2

4

Installation

About 2 weeks for a full block, in working hours agreed with you.

5

Tenants sign up

Residents connect online, when they're ready.

A wireless link can be live in about an hour. A direct fibre line can take 4 to 5 months because of trenching.

Ways to work together

Pick the model that suits your building.

Most buildings start with resident opt-in. Others prefer the building to take care of it. We'll talk through what fits.

Most common

Resident opt-in

We bring the service into the building and each resident signs up individually on a standard package. No cost or commitment for the body corporate.

  • Residents pay us directly
  • Month-to-month, no contracts
  • Quick to get started
Building-pays

Managed by the building

The building arranges and pays for the service, and recovers it through levies or from tenants and landlords. Term and service levels are agreed with you individually.

  • Extremely competitive pricing
  • Term and SLA discussed with you
  • One account, one contact
Sole provider

Sole-provider buildings

Where we are the only provider in the building, residents get significantly lower pricing than our standard packages. Speak to our sales team about what that looks like for your building.

  • Much lower resident pricing
  • Best value for tenants
  • Talk to sales for details
Committed
buildings get more

When a building commits to Connected Space, we offer 2 free lines for things like CCTV and the building manager's office. It's up to you what they're used for. Ask sales how this applies to your building.

Questions managers ask

Straight answers.

Does the body corporate pay anything?

In general no, when we can use the existing risers, conduits and trunking. Optional extras such as intercom are offered at cost. If the building prefers to pay for the service itself and recover it through levies or from tenants, we agree that with you individually.

Do all units need to sign up?

No. It is opt-in. In most cases one signed-up unit is enough for us to bring the service into the building.

How long does installation take?

A full apartment block can generally be done in about 2 weeks, with all tenants up and running. Once we're in the building, new residents are usually online within 48 hours of signing up. A wireless link can be live in about an hour. A direct fibre line can take 4 to 5 months because of trenching.

How do you handle disruption in the building?

Installs happen in working hours agreed with the building manager, using vetted installers.

Who looks after residents with problems?

Our support team. Residents contact us directly. Support hours are Monday to Friday 06:00 to 22:30, and Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 08:00 to 21:00.

Can you run on another fibre provider's lines in our building?

No. We run our own lines, so we don't pass line rental fees on to residents.

What does the R999 cover and is it refundable?

The R999 is a once-off payment for the router installed in the resident's apartment. The router is theirs to keep and isn't locked to our network, so it can be used with another provider. It isn't refundable.

What is the cancellation policy for residents?

No contracts and no notice period. The service is month to month and residents can cancel at any time. If a resident cancels part-way through a month, their service runs until the end of that month and they are never billed again.

What do committed buildings get?

Buildings that commit to Connected Space get 2 free lines for things like CCTV and the building manager's office. It's up to the building what they're used for. Term, service levels and pricing are discussed with you individually.
